About the company and the product
What does Shangxun Media do?
Chongqing Shangxun Media Co., Ltd. runs two businesses. The first is owned advertising media at airports and on high-speed rail. The second is AI content production and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) services for creators and enterprises. The WeChat mini program 「Shangxun Global Brand Promotion & Planning」 (Chinese name: 商讯传媒全球品牌推广与策划) is our AI creation and GEO content workspace, and Shangxun Media GEO Project is the working area inside it. 2 businesses sit side by side: owned advertising media, and AI content production with GEO.
What is the company's registered name and invoicing entity?
The operating and invoicing entity is 「Chongqing Shangxun Media Co., Ltd.」, unified social credit code 91500103686203135J. Invoices, contracts and corporate bank transfers all use this name. Companies that need business-licence material or a signed contract can contact us.
What is Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and how does it differ from SEO?
GEO is the practice of writing and structuring content to match how AI search engines index and cite material, so that an engine is more likely to quote your information when it answers a related question. SEO competes for a position in a list of results that a person then has to click into; GEO competes to be written directly into the AI's answer. See the GEO service → 1 difference separates it from SEO: SEO competes for a ranked list, GEO competes for a citation.
Using the Mini Program
What are the main sections of the Mini Program?
Four sections sit in the bottom bar: Home for recommended features and tools, Create for images and video, Tasks for publishing content tasks and opening the Shangxun Media GEO plan, and Me for balance, orders and profile. Generation history is found under Me, then My works. 4 sections make up the bottom bar.
What is on the Home screen?
Home has a recommendation card and a tool area. The card links to GEO optimization, which orders a GEO article, and to Video creation. The tool area lists talking-head video, cross-border e-commerce explainer, multi-image video and 3D engineering principle, which is in internal testing and not yet released.
What can the Create page generate?
Talking-head video, multi-image generation, AI model, AI outfit change, text-to-video, cross-border e-commerce explainer, multi-image video and 3D engineering principle, which is in internal testing. After choosing a tool you enter the description, aspect ratio and duration, and the estimated cost is displayed live at the bottom of the screen.
What is the Tasks page for?
Tasks is where content tasks are published, in four steps: choose the task type, describe the requirement, set the reward and settlement cycle, then freeze the budget and publish. Task types include article writing, video creation, the Shangxun Media GEO plan and 3D engineering principle. Beyond the base reward you can add performance tiers settled on actual results such as reads, likes and shares. See how tasks work →
What is on the Me page?
Three groups. Financial management holds top up balance, balance detail, refund request and request an invoice. Content and operations holds my works, my tasks, account authorization and the brand knowledge base. Help and support holds online support. 3 groups organise the Profile screen.
Mini Program capabilities
Which AI capabilities does the Mini Program have?
Image tools: multi-image generation, AI model and AI outfit change. Video tools: talking-head video, text-to-video, cross-border e-commerce explainer and multi-image video. Content tools: GEO article generation in 14 languages. A 3D engineering principle feature is in internal testing and is not yet open for orders. See the full capability list →
Which languages are supported?
GEO articles are available in 14 languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Italian, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian. Video on-screen text and voice-over cover 13 languages, the same set without Vietnamese. Foreign-language content is produced by a native-level model for that language, not machine-translated from a Chinese draft.
Can the generated content be used commercially?
Yes. Generated material can be used for personal projects, e-commerce assets, social media and similar commercial scenarios. If a real person's likeness appears in the material, you must hold valid authorization for that likeness. Clearer and more specific reference images and copy produce more stable results. 1 condition applies to any likeness: valid authorization must be held.
How much does the 3D engineering principle feature cost, and is it available?
3D engineering principle is billed separately at CNY 3.00 per second and does not share the standard video rate. The feature is currently in internal testing, so orders cannot be placed yet.
GEO service, reports and plans
What is the Shangxun Media GEO plan, and how much does it cost?
The Shangxun Media GEO plan is a monthly overseas GEO service whose aim is for AI engines such as ChatGPT and Perplexity to cite your brand when they answer related questions. Two tiers are published: GEO Domestic at CNY 3,680 per quarter and GEO Standard (overseas) at CNY 3,980 per quarter. See the plan entitlements →
What is included in each of the two GEO plans?
GEO Domestic at CNY 3,680 per quarter: 4 English GEO articles per month, roughly 1,500 words each, distribution to 8 overseas platforms, structured formatting with FAQ sections, and monthly content refresh with citation tracking.
GEO Standard at CNY 3,980 per quarter: 12 bilingual Chinese and English articles per month, distribution to 14 overseas platforms, plus a Wikipedia entry material pack, community Q&A platform participation and a monthly cross-engine visibility report.
How do I activate a GEO plan?
In the Tasks section, choosing the Shangxun Media GEO plan shows both tiers; activating opens the GEO article order flow. You can also contact us and a colleague will set up the monthly subscription. To be accurate: online payment for monthly subscriptions is still being enabled, so today delivery starts from the per-article order flow. 2 routes lead to GEO articles: the Tasks flow or contacting us directly.
What does the CNY 1 GEO competition and opportunity report include, and what does it exclude?
CNY 1.00 buys a competition and opportunity report with four blocks. First, your rankings: real retrieval ranking probes for 8 keywords, each with its rank and the sites occupying the front positions. Second, your competitors' terms: the 10 domains appearing most frequently across the front results for those keywords. Third, the gaps: keywords that people do search but where you hold no front position. Fourth, AI visibility: measured mentions across 4 questions, two on competitive terms and two on gap terms, reported as a mention rate whose denominator counts only questions that were actually tested.
The check runs either in Chinese, using Doubao, Yuanbao and Baidu, or in English, using ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google. Supplying the website URL improves matching accuracy because a domain match outranks a brand-name match.
The report deliberately excludes article generation, automatic publishing, encyclopedia writing and a full-site audit. Anything not actually tested is reported as untested rather than guessed or filled in with a zero.
What is the delivery process for a GEO plan?
Four stages. First, collect the brand fact assets, with you providing product material and real data. Second, write and localise, adapting register to each platform rather than posting one article everywhere. Third, human final review and multi-platform distribution, with AI-generated content labelled as each platform requires. Fourth, refresh content monthly and track how each engine indexes it. 4 stages run in order, starting with brand fact assets supplied by you.
Why is GEO maintained monthly instead of bought outright?
Because AI engines' citation preferences are time-sensitive: engines such as Perplexity noticeably favour recent material, so content is refreshed monthly rather than published once and left. Engine source pools also barely overlap — the two closest platforms (Perplexity and Google AI Overviews) share only about 23.7% of cited domains, and the most divergent pair (ChatGPT and Gemini) about 11.9% — so content has to be adapted per platform.
Why is overseas GEO worth doing?
AI answers are assembled from sources the engine has already read, so a brand can only enter an answer by being present in those sources. Public research on AI citations shows three commercially important facts: about 84%–94% of AI citations come from sources the brand neither owns nor pays for; only about 12% of pages cited by AI assistants also rank in Google's top 10 for the same question, so ranking well is not the same as being cited; and verified and structured data accounts for 54.53% of independent citation sources. Overseas AI search usage is rising quickly, and well-structured coverage is cheaper to obtain early than to repair later. These figures are third-party data, not our own measurements, and they do not predict results for any client. See the seven third-party findings →
Where do GEO articles get published?
To overseas platforms that carry weight in AI retrieval, together with your own site. Four overseas content channels are connected today: DEV Community, Hashnode, Ghost and LinkedIn. The monthly plans cover 8 platforms on Starter and 14 on Standard; the exact channel list is the one displayed inside the Mini Program under Tasks, then Shangxun Media GEO plan. Because engines draw on different source pools, content is adapted per platform rather than reposted identically.
Can you publish content on Wikipedia or Baidu Baike for me?
No. Third-party encyclopedias cannot be written or published on your behalf by us. Wikipedia requires independent third-party sourcing and requires editors to disclose a conflict of interest, so entries only proceed through draft submission and community review; Baidu Baike, Sogou Baike and Douyin Baike do not offer write APIs either. What we provide is a source-material pack — authoritative sources and verified facts organised for you — which you then take through each community's own process. Wikipedia is also one of the highest-weighted sources for overseas AI citations, so this step is worth doing properly.
Do you guarantee that AI engines will cite us?
No. Retrieval and ranking algorithms inside AI engines are not public and change continuously, so any guarantee would be untrustworthy. Public reporting shows that repeat runs of the same question on the same day can vary by up to 38%, with drift around 40.5% on Perplexity and 59.3% on Google AI Overviews, which is why a single test is treated as noise rather than signal. What we commit to is process quality: verifiable facts, attributable sources, stated boundaries and monthly re-checks.
GEO articles
What makes a GEO article fit for citation?
A GEO article is written to the indexing and citation preferences of AI search engines: the conclusion comes first, sections are self-contained so a paragraph can be quoted on its own, formatting is structured, an FAQ section is included, and every factual claim carries a verifiable source. Before delivery each article passes a six-point content check covering named quotations, data density, cited sources, self-contained paragraphs, an executive summary and structural hierarchy, plus a keyword-stuffing check. Order one from the Home screen under GEO optimization, or from Tasks, then article writing.
Which specifications can I choose for a GEO article?
Length: 800 words as a short explainer, 1,500 words as a standard article, 3,000 words as an in-depth piece and 5,000 or more words as a whitepaper.
Style: professional review, industry analysis, recommendation, press release, tutorial guide and comparison review.
Target engines: you can specify which engines the article should be indexed by — Google, Baidu, Bing, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Doubao, Yuanbao, Kimi, ERNIE Bot, DeepSeek and Tongyi Qianwen.
How is multilingual GEO article pricing calculated?
Each language is written as its own article and billed separately at CNY 50.00 per article. Selecting three languages means three articles and CNY 150.00. Foreign-language copy is written by a native-level model for that language; a Chinese draft is never machine-translated and published as it stands.
Where can I find a GEO article after it is generated?
Under Me, then My works, once generation finishes. You can also open the corresponding task under Me, then My tasks, to follow progress and details. 2 routes reach your outputs: My works and My tasks.
Pricing and billing
How much does a GEO article cost?
GEO articles are priced at a fixed CNY 50.00 per article, and the price is not negotiable. Multiple languages are billed per language, so three languages means CNY 150.00 for three articles.
How much does image generation cost?
Image generation costs CNY 0.50 per generation, and multi-image composition still counts as one generation. The amount is deducted from the account balance when the task is submitted.
How much does video generation cost?
Video costs CNY 1.00 per 5 seconds: 5 seconds is CNY 1.00, 10 seconds is CNY 2.00, 20 seconds is CNY 4.00, 30 seconds is CNY 6.00 and 60 seconds is CNY 12.00. Duration is rounded up to the next 5 seconds and charged once when the task is submitted. Adding more subtitle or voice-over languages does not increase the price. See full billing examples →
What are the billing rules?
The amount is deducted from the account balance when the order is placed. If a generation task ultimately fails, the deducted amount is returned to the balance automatically and no separate request is needed. 1 automatic refund path applies on failure, with no separate request needed.
Is there a free trial allowance?
Yes. If a new user's balance is insufficient on the first order, the system automatically issues free trial credits, once only, which can be used directly without topping up first. The trial covers 1 image generation and 1 five-second video, subject to the latest display inside the Mini Program. Once the trial credits are used, further generation requires a top-up.
Which price is authoritative, and in which currency?
The price shown on the order screen inside the WeChat mini program at the moment of submission is authoritative. Prices follow the latest display inside the WeChat mini program. This website states the same rates — images at CNY 0.50, video at CNY 1.00 per 5 seconds and GEO articles at CNY 50.00 — but if a rate changes, the in-app display prevails. All prices are quoted in CNY, and we do not publish USD equivalents because exchange rates drift.
Top-ups and refunds
How do I top up?
Under Me, then Top up balance, you enter any amount of at least CNY 1 and pay with WeChat Pay. Four preset tiers are also offered: 30, 68, 128 with 10 bonus, and 298 with 30 bonus.
Can I get a refund after topping up?
Account balance can be refunded to the original payment channel on request. Submit the request under Me, then Refund request, and we return the amount to the original payment method after verification. For large amounts or unusual cases, contacting us directly is faster. Refunds follow 1 route: request under Me, then Refund request.
Are failed tasks refunded?
Yes. If a generation task ultimately fails, the amount already deducted is returned to the balance automatically and no separate request is needed. If a failure was not refunded, send us the task ID. 2 refund paths exist: automatic on failure, and on request to the original channel.
Can I get an invoice?
Yes. Submit the request under Me, then Request an invoice, with the receiving email address and the invoicing name, which must be the full legal entity name. We process the request on business days and send the invoice to that email address. The invoicing entity is Chongqing Shangxun Media Co., Ltd. Invoicing requires 2 details: a receiving email address and the full legal entity name.
Referral rewards
Are there referral rewards I can take part in?
Yes. The Mini Program includes an open referral programme. Under Me, then Referral centre, you share the Mini Program with friends; the first time a friend opens it through your link the relationship is bound to you permanently, and you receive a 10% referral reward on the amount that friend actually pays. The calculation base covers paid creation services only — images, video and GEO articles — and top-ups are excluded. To state it plainly: this is a referral reward settled on what a friend actually spends, not a fixed income and not a promise of earnings. See the full referral rules →
What amount are referral rewards calculated on, and do top-ups count?
The reward is 10% of the amount a friend actually pays for creation services. Top-ups are not part of the base, and invoiced amounts and payments made from referral reward balance are not counted twice. The per-order reward cap is CNY 5,000.00 and the lifetime cap per account is CNY 50,000.00. If a friend's order is refunded, the corresponding reward is reversed.
Can referral rewards be withdrawn to a WeChat wallet?
Referral rewards are credited to the in-app balance and can be used to buy further creation services inside the Mini Program. Because this portion arises from a referral reward, it cannot be returned to a WeChat wallet through the refund process. It is tracked separately from refundable top-up balance, and the two do not affect each other. 1 distinction applies: reward balance is tracked apart from refundable balance.
Accounts, publishing and privacy
Do I need to bind my own social media accounts to publish content?
No. Distribution accounts are provided and managed by our platform, so you never hand over a personal social media account and account security and compliance risk stay on our side. You submit brand material and approve the content; distribution and maintenance are done for you. The Account authorization screen exists to maintain the status of those platform-managed accounts, so if it flags an account for re-authorization you can ignore it and we will handle it in the backend. 0 personal social media accounts are required.
What is the brand knowledge base, and where do I submit material?
The brand knowledge base is where first-hand brand material is submitted, under Me, then Brand knowledge base. GEO articles prioritise the verified material you submit — content with a checkable basis is easier for an AI engine to cite. 1 route leads there: Me, then Brand knowledge base.
What should I submit to the brand knowledge base?
First-hand brand facts in three categories. Entity information: company, brand and product names, founding date and main business scope. Verifiable data: specifications, price ranges, sales figures and patents. Evidence and sources: official website, official accounts, authoritative coverage and qualification certificates. The template Brand Fact Asset Collection List V2 can be downloaded from that screen and uploaded once its 13 sections are filled in. If editing Word on a phone is awkward, the copy text version option pastes the same structure into a notes app.
How long does submitted material take to take effect, and why is it reviewed?
After submission the status is pending review, and material is used in content production only after we verify it. So please do not submit exaggerated descriptions or unsourced figures — content of that kind tends to be judged untrustworthy when an AI engine tries to cite it, which works against indexing rather than for it. Material passes 1 review gate before it is used.
Are there format and size limits for the brand knowledge base?
Text is limited to 5,000 characters per submission. Files are limited to 5 per submission and 20 MB per file, and supported formats include Word, PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, TXT and images. Submitted records can be viewed and deleted on the same screen.
Will the brand material I submit be disclosed?
Material you submit is used only to generate content for you. It is not used for any other purpose and is not published. Records in the brand knowledge base are visible only to you and to our content team, and you can delete them yourself at any time on the submission screen. Read the privacy policy → Visibility is limited to 2 parties: you and the content team.
What happens if a platform flags or throttles our content?
Platform review is decided by each platform. We run a human final review before publishing and avoid risky phrasing where possible. If content is flagged or throttled, send us the platform notice and we will adjust the wording and handle it again. 2 things are outside our control: platform review decisions and traffic throttling.
Troubleshooting
A generation has been running for a long time with no result. What should I do?
Generation is asynchronous and usually finishes within minutes. You can leave the screen and return to Me, then My tasks, to check progress. If a task is still processing after 30 minutes, send us the task ID and we will investigate; failed tasks are refunded automatically.
What if I am not satisfied with a generated result?
Generation is non-deterministic, so the same description will not reproduce the same output every time, and running it again is often the fastest route. If the problem is a specific specification such as resolution, duration or language, tell us what you need and we will adjust the output to that requirement.
Where can I see my balance and spending history?
The account balance is shown on the Me screen, and Me, then Balance detail, holds the full record of top-ups and spending, with every deduction traceable to a specific task. Every deduction in the ledger traces back to 1 specific order.
How do I read a task status?
Under Me, then My tasks: processing means generation is still running, completed can be opened for the result, and failed is refunded automatically with the reason stated. Results can also be opened by work under My works.

Seven public findings on AI citations

These figures are quoted from public reporting and research. They are third-party data, not our own measurements, and they do not predict results for any client. They are listed here because they explain why GEO is built around verifiable facts, dated sources and per-engine adaptation rather than one-off publishing. 0 of these figures are our own measurements; all are third-party data.
